SPARK STAGE
Ages 12 to 18
Time: 14:30–16:30 on Saturdays
Location: Koorenhuis, Prinsegracht 27, 2512 EW The Hague
Focus: Acting, singing, dance and performance skills
Dates: From 19 September 2026 to 8 May 2027
Group size: Maximum 25 students
Fee: €695 for the full programme including a performance on a theatre stage in The Hague
A focused programme for teenagers who want to strengthen their acting, singing and dance skills while developing confidence, stage presence and creative independence.
Across 27 Saturdays and the final performance weekend, students work together to explore characters, scenes, vocal technique and choreography. The year builds towards the performance of a junior West End musical production for a live audience.

Fee: 550€ for the full programme including a performance on a theatre stage in The Hague
A creative performing arts programme for young performers who want to build confidence, explore acting, singing and dance, and enjoy creating as part of a supportive group.
Across 25 Saturdays and the final performance weekend, students develop their skills step by step through drama exercises, vocal coaching, and dancing in groups. The programme builds towards a live theatre performance featuring songs and scenes inspired by West End musicals.

From weekly training to a real theatre production.
Throughout the year, students work on their skills of character building voice and dance techniques towards A Night at the West End, the final Stage Spark Academy production performed in a theatre for a live audience.
Acting, singing and dance come together as students rehearse scenes, learn choreography, develop characters and discover what it takes to build a show as part of a cast. They experience the full process, from the first rehearsals to costumes, stage lights and the final curtain.
Every student contributes to the production. The aim is not simply to put on a show, but to give our performers a meaningful stage experience where they can apply their skills, grow in confidence and feel proud of what they have created together.
The performance weekend is included in the programme package.
THE SPARK BEHIND THE ACADEMY
the Spark behind the academy
Stage Spark Academy began with a shared love of theatre and a strong belief that the skills young people develop on stage stay with them far beyond the final performance.
At the heart of the academy are Lale and Julia, whose lifelong passion for the performing arts shapes the creative direction of every programme.
Lale has been connected to the stage for as long as she can remember. An experienced theatre coach, director and choreographer, she has taught and guided young performers for many years, directed and choreographed numerous productions, and prepared students for performances as well as recognised LAMDA Musical Theatre examinations. Since 2020, she has also led the Musical Theatre After-School Club at The British School in The Netherlands.
Like Lale, Julia’s journey in the performing arts began at a very young age, stepping onto the stage for her first solo drama performance at just four years old. She continued performing throughout school, completed LAMDA and Guildhall (now Trinity) examinations in Acting and Verse & Prose, and remained actively involved in choirs, close harmony groups and musical productions. Inspired by the teachers who helped shape her own journey, Julia is passionate about helping young performers discover that same spark of confidence and creativity. In recent years, she has worked alongside Lale at The British School in The Netherlands and on a number of musical theatre productions.
Together with the wider founding team, they created Stage Spark Academy around one simple belief: the performing arts do more than teach acting, singing and dance. They help young people build confidence, creativity, resilience, discipline and friendships that last well beyond their time on stage.
